GKN Automotive is, to the automotive industry, the only supplier focused on driveline technologies with a presence in 20 countries throughout 5 continents. To this end, and making use of Big Data and Cloud, AI and 3D visualisation, GKN has implemented a 3D dimensional inspection system based on optical scanning. This has been achieved by using structured light within the process of the forging line in medium heat, with the capacity to analyze the history of measurements and make better decisions.
