The project seeks to develop an advanced mass spectrometry detector (BMCP). Its technology – protection sought in a patent application – is based on integrating a Si3N4 nanomembrane (NM) in detection mechatronics (own software) within a MCP (microchannel plate), able to precisely and reliably identify macromolecules, proteins and molecular high mass conglomerations in the mass spectrometry equipment.
The project has attracted interest from an international industrial corporation, and a leading player in the personalised health sector.
Research laboratories, pharmaceuticals, food safety test facilities, biotechnology companies, and clinical diagnosis laboratories, inter alia.
