Foetal monitoring in high-risk births is currently tedious, invasive and with an overly long response time. The OPTEC4LIFE project proposes a non-invasive, constant and real-time technology based on multispectroscopic analysis combined with artificial intelligence to monitor the baby’s metabolic state. The outcome is a more reliable and better diagnostics performance than when using the current procedures, thus reducing the risk associated to the intrapartum period. It is an unprecedented method and it is currently seeking protection in a patent application.
