A delegation of 11 Austrian companies and institutions has visited the Basque Country to learn about leading, innovative Industry 4.0 projects. The mission, organized by the SPRI Group, allowed the delegation to see the operation of projects such as the Basque Country Technology Park Network, the aerospace advanced manufacturing centre and the Automotive Intelligence Center (AIC) in Amorebieta.
Participating in the mission, which took place last week, were the Austrian companies Add7 Gmbh and Alicona Imaging Gmbh, together with universities and organizations such as AIT (Austrian Institute of Technology), CAMPUS 02 (University of Applied Sciences), FHOÖ (Center of Excellence for Smart Production), FHOÖ (University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria), FH Technikum Wien (University of Applied Sciences), TU Graz (Graz University of Technology), JOANNEUM RESEARCH (Robotics) and Mechatronics Cluster (Business Upper Austria).
The Austrian delegation was informed about the Basque investment attraction strategy, Invest in the Basque Country, and about Basque Industry 4.0, by SPRI Group authorities. The delegation travelled to Zamudio to receive information about the Basque Country Technology Park Network and visited the headquarters of the Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Center and of Tecnalia. The companies and institutions also visited the Automotive Intelligence Center (AIC) in Amorebieta.
The final day was devoted to visits to the headquarters of the Mondragon Group, Mondragón Unibersitatea, IK4-Ideko and IK4-Tekniker technology centres and the wind power advanced manufacturing centre.
For SMEs, for diversifying markets, internships abroad, international tenders, non-reimbursable subsidies to consolidate exports, subsidies for deployments or specific training in internationalisation.
